SALEM ROADHOUSE CAFE

Created to provide local, new and established artists a classy place to be seen and heard in an appreciative environment,  to raise revenue for various charities, and to provide an affordable place for the community to enjoy and appreciate the arts, the Roadhouse was conceived and developed utilizing an original grant from the Presbytery of Elizabeth. The venue is intimate, where the artists can be close to their audiences and are always encouraged to make a personal, close connection with all of the patrons.

The shows are designed to be staged in a professional manner, complete with a performance platform, active stage lighting, and a 12 channel sound system.  Townley’s “Roadhouse Crew” is a group of dedicated volunteers who produce and direct all of the events.
Along with the outstanding top shelf musical performances, the shows feature local artists and photographers in the “Roadhouse Gallery”, where their work is on display and the artists are on hand for everyone to meet and talk with.

Hot and cold snacks, gourmet coffees, teas, and beverages along with assorted  desserts round out the fare that is included with the single low admission price.
Patrons now get the added experience of being on TV34’s “Union After Dark” television show, aired every night !

TOWNLEY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, ROADHOUSE CAFE SPONSOR

“Salem Roadhouse Café is a real winner, a slice of true American culture without the frills. It’s been a while since I’ve had such an attentive, polite and appreciative audience to play for.”
(Bob Ackerman, Jazz Performer)

“...what a wonderful experience I had at the Salem Roadhouse Cafe. The music was great/the band was amazing, there was delicious home-made food and beverages---and you’re not gonna believe this--real ceramic mugs, plates, and nice glasses (actually made out of glass!) “  (Kerrie Wandlass, Featured Artist )
